About us

Hello, my name is Amy and I founded Liv in December 2021. As I have always dreamed to become part of a community, I thought of no better place other than Forest Hills, New York. Forest Hills is filled with social connection and a place of belonging. I imagine the children here are so lucky to be raised in a community bonded by various cultures, transportation, and values essential to a positive development ahead. As a child I suffered through childhood trauma and challenges that lead me to dedicate a decade of experience in working with children ages 0-16 years old. My expertise extends to working with children and families of the U.S. Army under the Department of Defense providing quality care to our military children. I have worked in classroom settings as a lead, assistant, and supervisory role. This includes supporting children with special needs, life threatening diagnosis, and a certified Applied Behavior Therapist supporting children with Autism diagnosis. I am familiar with various alternative communication devices, collecting and tracking data, modifying any environment and activities, and language (Spanish, French, and Creole). Liv is a place I dreamed about through the years. Liv is a place filled with comfort and love bringing in a home-style modern ambiance causing a smooth transition. We have two rooms, Villagers Room and Inspiration Room. Our Villagers room is where we focus on our primary classroom needs such as circle time, free play, and daily activities. Our Inspiration Room is a room built for comfort, relaxation, and our naptime with a focus on creating a calming energy accessible for each child throughtout the day.
